Food poisoning is a situation you want to avoid. One, the feeling is horrible and second, it can be life threatening. It is sometimes difficult though to point out which food is safe and which are not. You do not need to avoid the food we listed below but you just need to be on the careful side because of the potential harm:
Leafy greens
You always have your salad greens on your grocery list since you want to lead a healthy lifestyle. But your greens have been a culprit to around 363 outbreaks in the United States since 1990. The leafy vegetables, as harmless as they may look, may be contaminated with dirty water, manure, pesticides, or dirty food handling when packing them. What to do: Just wash them before consuming them plus have a different cutting board for meat and veggies.
Eggs
The breakfast staple has actually been involved with 352 outbreaks in the last two decades most often because of Salmonella. The bacteria can sneak inside the egg so it is best to cook them properly so you kill all the germs.
Tuna
This fish has invaded the market for all the health benefits it may bring but it can also be contaminated with scombrotoxin which causes headaches, cramps, and flushing. If the fish was stored in containers above sixty degrees in temperature, it may release the harmful toxin which cannot be destroyed.
Oysters
Oysters are in the bottom of the sea since they are filter feeders before they are on your plate as an expensive delicacy. Get the picture? If they came from contaminated water, then most likely the oysters can cause a whole host of problems. Uncooked or undercooked oysters may carry the norovirus which may cause diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea.

There are things which may we view as harmful to us but when you deeply look into how they affect us, they might be doing more good to our health than expected:
Computer Games
A lot of parents think that computer games corners children into a kind of isolation and also distract them from their studies. This might not be the case as researches show that kids who regularly play video games improve hand-eye coordination, IQ, and understanding of science over time. Simulation games also showed to contribute in developing the kid’s planning skills and strategy formulation.
Parents though should still watch out as some games may trigger stress-like problems as younger ones may not be able to distinguish clearly between what is real and fiction. So monitor how they use the computer to avoid any problems.
Loud Music
A lot of people about their teens blasting loud music in their rooms, again you might be surprised that it is doing them some good. There is a study that reveals that the louder the music, the greater pleasure the music brings. It has something to do with the vibrations created by the loud music sent as positive signals to the human brain.
Texting
Texting may again be viewed as bringing someone away from the real social world but a study reveals that parents and children admitted that they improved their relationship because of the constant texting. Kids keep in touch without having to feel that their privacy is being invaded.
Sunshine
A lot of experts have warned us about the damaging effects of sun exposure. Again too much might harm us but moderate exposure to sunshine is in fact beneficial as sunlight helps the body to make Vitamin D which in turn makes our bones stronger.
