Battling any cancer can be a very scary time for not just the person that has it but the entire family. It’s not easy knowing that certain body parts are going to have to get amputated in order to save your life. However, if surgery is the best way to cure you then you have to do it if you want to live. You should talk to your doctor to see what would work best for you in helping to win this battle. Radiation may work for some people but not all. You, your doctor, and your family need to talk in order to find the right treatment that will help you live cancer free. If that means having surgery to get rid of it, then by all means do it. You won’t regret that decision several years from now when you find yourself still healthy. Plus, there are reconstruction surgeries that you ca go through to help you feel like yourself again. Do I Have To Get The Surgery 

Surgical procedures are irreversible. So, while you do not have to get the procedure done, you might want to go on ahead and do it in order to live. You have to think that about the fact that sometimes radiation or chemotherapy may not work. There are cases in which that would make the cancer more aggressive and if you just had of done the surgery it would not have spread to other parts of your body. I know about this all too well. If my aunt had of gotten a hysterectomy instead of radiation treatment, she would still be here.

You don’t want to find yourself choosing the wrong thing because you feel you can’t live without a certain body function. Think of your family when choosing what’s best to battle your cancer. They want you to be alive.
